Our Story
During Thanksgiving weekend in 2007, Dr. Adamson’s father suffered a stroke in the left temporal-parietal lobe, leading to mixed aphasia and severe depression. As a postdoctoral fellow in neuroscience at Stanford School of Medicine, Dr. Adamson witnessed her father’s and mother’s immense frustration and mental anguish due to the lack of speech recovery resources.
Driven by these experiences, Dr. Adamson has dedicated her career to neuroscience research on brain injury, dementia, cognitive aging, depression, PTSD, and anxiety. She has met numerous couples facing similar communication challenges, recognizing the unmet need for better support.
